Act One Pictures edits HBO series pilot "BloodLines".

Act One Pictures in association with One Family Entertainment Studios finished editing the pilot for a upcoming HBO series "BloodLines".

This is a dramatic series about the gangs in San Diego. Terrell Jones, a smart, ambitious, college bound 17 year old African American high school senior. After the murder of his mother Terrell is forced to join a gang and starts his journey into a life in the gangs and war.

This pilot premiered before 800+ at the UltraStar Cinema in Mission Valley August 11, 2011.

AOP wins 1st Place - Best Sculpture at the 2011 U.S. Open Sandcastle Competition

 

Act One Pictures and the Coastal Carvers win 1st Place at the 31st Annual U.S. Open Sandcastle Competition this past July 27, 2011. Production Manager at Act One Pictures and the Coastal Carvers team captain Robert Borer, takes his team into 1st place with the entry "The Train to Atlantis".

Building this 5 foot tall train with passenger car entering a tunnel with a water tower and ticket "S.D. to Atlantis" and a water tower complete with a Sea Otter and "Imperial Beach" engraved into the band.

Coastal Carvers win 3rd place at the 2010 U.S. Open Sandcastle Competition.

Act One Pictures sponsored The Coastal Carvers at the 30th Annual U.S. Open Sandcastle Competition held this past August 8, 2010. The Coastal Carvers, won a 3rd place in the highly competitive "Best Sculpture" division. Robert, the production manager here at Act One and the team captain, along with the 10 man team, built a 20 foot long champagne bottle, resting on a bunch of grape vines that surrounded a 5 foot tall champagne glass and was topped with a strawberry. Also created was the cork and a chunck of cheese and a chocolate covered strawberrry placed on a cutting board.
