Let us create a video “show” to view at your event. Great for any occasion: company events, holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, graduations and memorials. Act One Pictures can help you tell a story by combining pictures, video clips, graphics and titles, and set to music or any audio recording/narration. It can be as short or long as you want. We can create the video or can you can work directly with one of our editors.
Businesses, we can tell the story of your company by putting images of your past and present onto video. We can also create an effective sales or training tool from photos combined with powerpoint slides. All you have to do is provide us with raw images and we will take care of the rest.
Put your photos and slides on video! Create a video filled with your images, beautiful transitions and set to music. You can record a voice-over narration and add titles. Entertain your friends, family and guest with great memories. We can loop the video to play as long as you like for a background visual and with your selection of music. You can even add old movie films onto the DVD before they fall apart.

Slideshow Process
After you gather all of your photos, slides and other media, the first thing to do is to make a list of the order of appearance. Basically, write the script. Also gather the music and/or narration that you want to use. The more organized you are, the more efficiently we can create your project which results into your savings on cost. Please contact us before you start any project for tips to make your video look the best possible and keep your budget down. Good planning is key.
Duration
We recommend that each picture or image is on the screen from 4 to 7 seconds. The basic rule of thumb is approximately10 images per minute. So, a 4 minute song can contain approximately 40 images or pictures.
5 min. = 50 images; 30 min. = 300 images and so on.
In most cases, the audio is put on the “timeline” first. Then, the video elements are divided into the duration of the audio. A 1-2 second fade transition is placed between each of the images and a dissolve transition is put at the beginning and end of each song or sequence. You can also add other audio and/or video and narration to the piece. Act One Pictures has it’s own recording studio. Titles, graphics and credits can then be added to polish the video and give it a professional look. Our creative editors know just what to do.
Types of Slideshows
Standard Slideshow:
This method does one image after another with a second of black on the screen in between. Just let us how long you want each one on the screen. For example, if you want each image on the screen for five seconds, we can do approximately 300 per half hour.
Some of your images may have been taken horizontally and some vertically. Since a TV screen is horizontal, on the vertical images there will be black panels on the right and left side if you want to see the entire picture. Music and professional narration is available at an extra cost.
Custom Slideshow:
This method does take longer. It does so because the editor uses various artistic methods to customize each individual image. The editor can zoom in or out and pan left or right to capture the best parts of the picture, eliminate the black panels on the sides or pan across the entire image on group shots in order to see each person slowly.
Our editor can do approximately 30 custom images per hour if they are all horizontal and 20 per hour if they are a mix of horizontal and vertical. We can also incorporate old movies that have been transferred to video. Music and professional narration is available at an extra cost.
Let Act One assemble your sports or acting highlights onto DVD. You can schedule a experienced videographer to go out and shoot the event on a high quality camera. Pick out the clips you want ahead of time for a big savings. You can even add music and narration if you want. We can also compress the final reel and upload to YouTube or other web sites.
Let us create a special tribute to your loved one who has passed away. All you have to do is provide us with photographs and we will take care of the rest. During their memorial service, friends and family will see family photos set to beautiful music, mixed with peaceful, nature scenes of clouds, sunsets and scenery. We are more than happy to add titles to the photographs to describe them. Our professional staff can work quickly, to create a video that will be a lasting memory for all who were close to that special person.
Videotaping of Memorial Services
Many of your family and friends may not be able to come to the service. This can be a very disheartening thing for those who were close to the deceased. For this reason, we offer the service of videotaping. Our cameraperson will be out of the way while making sure that all of the pictures and sound are captured for posterity. In this way, everyone will have a remembrance of all of the special things that were said about your loved one. We can also make convert the video into a foreign format for those overseas.
Create your own music video. We can tape or film your talent and add to an existing soundtrack or you can record a brand new one in our studio. We have award winning music video directors if your a really serious artist and those who inspire to be and need a great demo!
The list just doesn’t end. Besides all of the standard editing support services we can work with you in the edit director chair or leave it to our talented editor’s. We can use any existing image, video and audio media, and record what you still need or we can make something out of nothing. It’s serious magic!
