The most memorable moments in life are filled with laughter, love and family. We understand your desire to document and pass on your treasured moments through photos. We will work with your ideas, inspirations and budgets. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your ideal photo shoot.

Before you even hire us, let us sit down and brainstorm. Let us meet at your place, or ours, or do a conference call on our toll free line. We will come up with a budget that fits your needs. Act One will then involve you in every step of the process. We will get your ideas and work with you to create a script. We can also hook you up with a professional scriptwriter.

For the shoot, we will call on our team of specialists to best meet your needs. Our photographers are talented, creative & friendly.

Again, you will continue to be there to make sure what we put on tape is what you want. Your budget will dictate whether we shoot at your facility, outdoors or in a studio. You will watch as our technicians set up all of the necessary equipment that will be required to give your finished photos the correct look. This is where we take your concept and bring it alive.

We can work with Tom Cruise, your niece Janet who starred in her high school play or a local professional. Your budget will always dictate how professional your finished photos will look.

Editing. This is where the magic is done. The raw pictures from your shoot will be brought into one of our editing suites. There, you will work with one of our creative editors to retouch, size, crop and massage the photos from the shoot into a finished masterpiece. Almost anything can be added in, including: titles, graphics, effects, or create a brochure. We can create PowerPoint presentations or video DVDs.

We have our own duplication center. Here, we can make one or a thousand copies quickly. Files can also be placed on a CD, DVD, flash drive or your external hard drive.

We want to help you with your project and believe that we can continue to build a solid relationship with your company as your photography specialists.

In studio or on-location Act One Pictures is your single source for everything photography related. Our job is to make your job easier. We take care of all of the equipment, crews and processing.

To maximize the result from your session time with us, We recommend the following:

*PLANNING - Think about the sort of images you'd like, prior to us coming to your home or location. It is an idea to discuss this with us when you confirm your booking or when you initially call us. Having a good look through my photo galleries may give you an idea of the feel you'd like to achieve and what is best to wear (or not to wear should you like 'Skin' shots). Having a little 'practice' first can help the adults to feel more comfortable and find the poses in which they feel most attractive. Even the most natural interactive shots require some careful thought and placing.

*CLOTHING - Wear clothing that is appropriate for the sitting even if you only want pictures of your child/ren, inevitably you'll end up in some. Often the most beautiful moments are captured interacting with Mom and Dad. Being dressed appropriately, ensures we capture it aesthetically and don't detract from your child/ren. Basic, unpatterned and comfortable clothing usually works best for adults and kids. Showing lots of skin is especially beautiful for babies and young children, (and those lucky enough to still look great after having kids)! Having said this, if your child is typically a bright eclectic type of little possum, then we feel it is more important to capture this essence of your child.

*SLEEP & FOOD - Wherever possible, aim to have the child/ren fed and rested prior to the shoot as this will ultimately lead to a much easier time for all of us! If going on location, bring non messy snacks and drinks to keep your kids' tummies content. Also remember the wipes to keep your children's faces free from food and mess (unless we are shooting a 'messy shot)!

* LIGHT - the essence of photography! Does your home have much natural light or simply a medium sized room (or larger) with good indirect light? We prefer to work with as much natural light as possible. If your home is dark - do you have a friend or relative's where we can shoot should the weather be unsuitable to go outside? We can use flash but prefer to get as much natural light into the image as possible. Natural light produces a lovely warm feel to the photos. Window lit portraits are in my opinion, the most lovely of all.

* SIBLINGS & FAMILY - there is no extra charge for extra family members. Just keep in mind that the more sitters, the longer it takes and this is especially so for children under 5 years and young babies. Should you choose a smaller package with a 1 - 1 1/2 hour session time then you will get as many images of each child that time permits. You are always welcome to upgrade to a larger package or pay by the hour should your sitting take longer.

*PAYMENT - Sitting fee or package fee is due at the time of the session, in full. Tammy M. Rice Photography accepts cash or check prior to the sitting is also accepted. A 100% money back guarantee is offered if you aren’t completely satisfied.
Should equipment or mechanical failure result, then liability is restricted to a money back refund on our services or a rescheduled sitting.

*COPYRIGHT – Act One Pictures and Tammy M. Rice Photography will always hold the copyright for the images taken but if you purchase a digital negative package, then you have the rights to print and reproduce the images, for private use, forever. You must not however, use the images commercially in anyway whatsoever.
