The first step is to organize the originals in order of appearance. We check the time on each so we can utilize the new media to fit as much as possible, but without degrading the quality of the original. We can fit up to 70-80 minutes onto a CD. All audio is imported into our computer system first. Here we can break it up into tracks, adjust speeds, volume levels, apply filtering like noise, click, pop and scratch reduction, normalization, equalization, and track splicing (creating one good copy from two bad ones). We can also record just the audio portion of any media and record it on to a CD cassette or any other media.
Act One Pictures most common audio transfer. It’s very affordable to transfer those records and tapes to CD. We offer a quantity discount for multiple originals. We can fit up to 80 minutes of audio on to a CD.
Act One Pictures still produces quality cassette tape masters. We use high end recording decks to insure you the highest possible quality master. The original soundtrack can come from practically any source. If the original needs any editing, we can simply run through one of our applications and a new master. We can print labels with text or custom artwork. We have a high speed cassette recorder for audio cassette copies.
Act One can record most audio formats to a Hard Drive. We capture using Final Cut Pro, AudioCity and ProTools. Each application records in a different format, but are easily converted to any file format you require. Supply your own hard drive or purchase one from us.
We offer post-recording audio restoration. Besides automatic filters to eliminate pops and clicks, low and high noise filtering, we can also run audio tracks through extensive equalizing software. Almost anything can be done…with enough time.
